This course is very popular, and is normally run in early December, so you have the rest of the season to practice the knowledge you have just learned.
For a period of 7 days you live gliding! We have a number of experienced pilots who help you as leaders. Some fly long distance, others are competition pilots, but they all love the same thing - Cross Country Flying.
Every morning there are briefings and discussions on different topics related to Cross Country flying and in the evening we have a debrief and discussion over a beer in the air conditioned clubroom
Every day you will fly, be it to practice something you have learned, fly a task in a 2 seat glider with a coach or leader, or fly a lead and follow with a coach and another student in solo gliders.
By the end of the week most pilots are out exploring with their new skills or attempting their distance Badge Flights.
The basic requirements to attend this course is to be Aero Tow rated and current, have an Australian 'C' certificate (or the equivalent).
If you do not have these minimum requirements we suggest you come and stay with us a few days early to attain these skills.

Prices and arrangements should be discussed with the Club.

All pilots who fly in Australia must be members of the GFA (Gliding Federation of Australia).

Please contact the Club for more information..
